Callaway Golf Clubs Are Ely's Masterpieces
In 2001, the 82-year-old Ely Callaway passed away, but his name is still flourishing in golf field. Back to the mid-1980s, Mr. Callaway, Bobby Jones' distant relative successful run the business of textile and wine. He bought a small wedge companys. And Callaway Golf Clubs Empire developed from these humble ‘hickory clubs'.
Callaway has been competing with Ping and TaylorMade for the top seller in list of wood and irons. Last year's PGA exhibition, Callaway golf is still the largest and with most audience. And Callaway golf clubs don't stop because of the former glory. I am quite impressed with its 2010 released Callaway golf Clubs.
Callaway FT-Iz Driver adhered the same excellent pedigree of Big Bertha driver, which was a major breakthrough Callaway achieved. The launch of the FT-iZ was advertised by Phil Mickelson. In the ads picture there was scientific equations and jets etc., using techniques similar to MTV's. The same as most new released drivers, the key words described the FT-iZ Driver is a matter of course weight, aerodynamics, prices, and of course distance.
FT-iZ weight concentrated on the back of club face and with 460cc head. Callaway called the two poles with weights construction. The driver head is made from titanium, carbon, aluminum and steel. The special shape of head is able to everse resistance of lateral to a minimum. Although a larger club head is helpful to achieve longer distances and greater fault tolerance, if the shape of head is not proper, it will reduce the swing speed. Callaway FT-iZ Driver is rich in aesthetic form. Up to now, the retail price is $198.8 at golfclubshotsale.com. And the face of Callaway FT-iZ Tour driver is slightly larger.
The new Diablo Edge driver uses the same aerodynamics design, but it's head is made form titanium. It is a casting head in 460cc. Its shape is also more traditional. Diablo Edge Tour Driver is with a slightly smaller clubface, center of gravity a little forward. It is said that excellent golf players can bring more lower and more stable hitting.
The Callaway Diablo Edge Irons is to maximize the skills of golfers. Callaway golf cubs designers carefully studied many ordinary players and then found that most of the irons' center of gravity was higher than the real sweet spot. So the lower center of gravity ensures further distance. An 9-club set steel shaft is priced at $ 380.8, graphite shaft at $ 420.8.
Callaway's other products include X Slate Jaws wedge designed by Roger Cleveland; two new balls. Tour iZ ball is to achieve longer distance) and Tour iS is for better rotation and control. Also there are 3 kinds of Backstryke putters, with the connection of shaft and head behind the clubsface. This design makes it easier for golfers to align and hitt the ball forward. All Backstryke putters are equipped with a more robust White Ice Insert. Callaway Golf clubs are one of my favoriate golf brand. I really wish Callaway will make greater progress and produce more good clubs.
